Why our games skip the app store

Every Sannmagi game runs in the browser — free, no download, on any device. Here's why we build for the open web instead of the app store.

Every game we make runs in your browser. No download, no store page, no "37 MB remaining." You tap a link and you're playing.

That's not a compromise — it's the whole idea. Here's the reasoning, plainly.

The link is the game

When a friend sends you a game today, what they actually send is a store page. Between their message and your first minute of play sit a download, an install, and usually an account screen. Most people never make it through.

Our games are the link itself. Share Eldrn and the person who taps it is standing in a village ten seconds later. Share ClashBits and they're in a battle. The demo is the game.

One game, every device

A progressive web app runs on iPhone, Android, tablet, and desktop from one codebase. Same account, same progress, whatever screen is nearby. Add it to your home screen and it launches full-screen with its own icon — it is an app, just one that skipped the queue.

Updates in minutes, not weeks

No review process sits between us and you. When a balance change or fix is ready, it ships — you get it on your next visit. For live multiplayer games with seasons, that speed is the difference between a game that responds and a game that apologizes.

And yes — the fairness thing

Web distribution keeps us independent, and independence is what lets us keep the promise on every game page: money buys time and cosmetics, never power. Sann magi is Scandinavian for "true magic." The magic has to be the game itself.

Two games are live right now, a third is on the bench. Pick one and see how fast "playing" happens.
